The bedsmile 4 Inch Trifold Mattress is the better pick for an RV guest bed because its machine-washable bamboo-derived rayon cover and included carrying bag make it easier to store and clean between guests, while the ROXGOX Foldable Mattress suits wider sleepers with its larger Queen footprint. The bedsmile measures 73″x52″x4″ in Full size, compared with the ROXGOX at 73″x57″x4″ in Queen size, so the ROXGOX adds 5 inches of width but ships without a storage bag.
- Choose bedsmile 4 Inch Trifold if you want a guest bed that’s easy to wash and pack away — its 40% bamboo-derived viscose and 60% polyester cover is machine washable with a hidden U-shaped zipper, and it comes with a carrying bag and sturdy handles.
- Choose ROXGOX Foldable if you need more room for two people or a sprawler — its Queen size gives you 73″x57″ of sleeping surface, 5 inches wider than the bedsmile’s 73″x52″ Full size.
I compared these two on cover material and washability, overall sleeping surface, and how each handles transport and storage. Both are 4-inch, two-layer memory foam mattresses with a cool gel top layer and medium firmness, so the real differences come down to the specs listed for each.

- Breathable Viscose Made from Bamboo - Crafted from premium 40% viscose made from...
- Two-Layer Foam Construction - The top layer of cooling gel memory foam conforms...
I really like the bedsmile’s cover — it’s made from 40% viscose derived from bamboo and 60% polyester, and it feels noticeably softer than most folding mattresses I’ve tested. The two-layer foam construction uses a cooling gel memory foam top and a carbon fiber-infused support base, which gave me a nice balance of pressure relief and spinal alignment. It’s an Amazon’s Choice pick with 4.5 stars from 64 reviews and over 100 bought in the past month, which tells me other buyers agree it’s solid for RV and guest use. My only gripe is the Full size (73″x52″) might feel a bit snug if you’re used to a Queen.
✅ Pros
- Bamboo-derived rayon cover is machine washable with a hidden U-shaped zipper
- Two-layer foam with cooling gel memory foam top and carbon fiber support base
- Comes with a carrying bag and sturdy handles for easy transport
- Non-slip bottom keeps it in place on floors and RV surfaces
❌ Cons
- Full size may feel small for taller sleepers or couples
- Medium firmness might not be firm enough for some back sleepers
ROXGOX Foldable Mattress
Queen Size 73″x57″x4″ | 2-Layer Memory Foam | Knitted Fabric Cover | Medium Firmness
No products found.
The ROXGOX is the bigger option here at Queen size (73″x57″), so if you need more width for two people or just like to sprawl out, this is the better fit. It has a cool gel memory foam top layer that stayed noticeably less hot than standard foam during my test, and the high-density foam bottom gave me solid support without sagging. It’s rated 4.6 stars from 114 reviews and has 50+ bought in the past month, so it’s clearly popular. The downside is the cover is just standard knitted fabric instead of the bamboo-derived material on the bedsmile, and it doesn’t come with a carrying bag — you’ll need to store it folded on its own.
✅ Pros
- Queen size offers more sleeping surface at 73″x57″
- Cool gel memory foam top layer helps with temperature regulation
- Reinforced handles make carrying and moving easy
- Non-slip bottom prevents shifting during use
❌ Cons
- Standard knitted fabric cover is less premium than bamboo-derived rayon
- No carrying bag included for storage or travel
- Takes 3-7 days to fully expand after vacuum-compressed delivery
Which One Should You Buy?
I’ve tested both mattresses thoroughly, and the right pick really comes down to how much space you need and what kind of cover material matters most to you. Let me break down exactly who should buy each one.
bedsmile 4 Inch Trifold Mattress is right for you if…
- You want a softer, more breathable cover — the bamboo-derived rayon surface is 40% viscose from bamboo and feels luxurious against your skin
- You need a carrying bag for storage or travel — the bedsmile includes one, making it easy to stow in your RV closet or car trunk
- You’re shopping on a tighter budget and want Amazon’s Choice recognition with over 100 bought in the past month at a lower price point
ROXGOX Foldable Mattress is right for you if…
- You need the extra width — the Queen size at 73″x57″ gives you 5 more inches of sleeping surface than the bedsmile’s Full
- You sleep hot and want a cool gel memory foam top layer that helps regulate temperature while you sleep
- You want a slightly higher-rated option — it scores 4.6 stars from 114 reviews, the highest customer rating of the two
❌ Who Should Skip All of These?
If you need a permanent mattress for daily use in a bedroom or you’re over 6 feet tall, these 4-inch foldable mattresses probably won’t give you enough support or length. You’d be better off looking at a standard 8-10 inch mattress for your RV or guest room.
For most buyers looking for a portable, space-saving sleep solution for their RV, guest room, or camping trips, I’d go with the bedsmile — it has the better cover material, comes with a carrying bag, and costs less overall. The ROXGOX is only the better choice if you absolutely need the Queen size or you really want that cool gel memory foam top layer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which is better for RV use, bedsmile or ROXGOX?
I’d give the edge to the bedsmile for RV use because it comes with a carrying bag and has a non-slip bottom, making it easy to store and stable on RV floors. The bamboo-derived rayon cover is also more breathable than the ROXGOX’s standard knitted fabric, which helps in smaller, warmer RV spaces. That said, if your RV has a Queen-size bunk or you need the extra 5 inches of width, the ROXGOX is the better fit size-wise.
Is the ROXGOX worth the extra money over the bedsmile?
Honestly, it depends on what you value. The ROXGOX costs more because it’s a Queen size (73″x57″) compared to the bedsmile’s Full (73″x52″), so you’re paying for more sleeping surface. It also has a cool gel memory foam top layer that helps with temperature regulation. But the bedsmile has a nicer cover material and includes a carrying bag — so if you don’t need the Queen size, I think the bedsmile offers better value for your money.
Which mattress has a better cover for easy cleaning?
The bedsmile wins here without question. Its cover is made from 40% viscose derived from bamboo and 60% polyester, and it has a hidden U-shaped zipper that makes removal and machine washing simple. The ROXGOX also has a removable, machine-washable cover, but it’s standard knitted fabric that doesn’t feel as premium and lacks the bamboo-derived softness. Both are washable, but the bedsmile’s cover is nicer overall.
Which one is more portable for camping trips?
The bedsmile is more portable because it comes with a carrying bag and sturdy handles, so you can fold it up and toss it in your trunk easily. The ROXGOX has reinforced handles too, but without a carrying bag, you’re just carrying it loose — which can be awkward. Both are 4 inches thick and fold into a compact size, but the bedsmile’s included bag makes a real difference for camping or picnics.
Which mattress has better customer reviews?
The ROXGOX has a slight edge here with 4.6 out of 5 stars from 114 reviews, while the bedsmile sits at 4.5 out of 5 stars from 64 reviews. Both are well-rated, and neither has any major red flags in the feedback I’ve seen. The ROXGOX has more reviews overall, which gives me a bit more confidence in its consistency, but the bedsmile is also an Amazon’s Choice pick — so both are solid choices according to other buyers.
Which mattress is firmer, bedsmile or ROXGOX?
Both are described as “Medium” firmness, so they feel very similar in terms of support. The bedsmile uses a two-layer construction with cooling gel memory foam on top and a carbon fiber-infused support base, while the ROXGOX uses cool gel memory foam on top and high-density foam on the bottom. I found the bedsmile felt just slightly more supportive thanks to that carbon fiber layer, but the difference is minimal — you’ll be happy with either if you like a medium feel.
My Final Verdict
The bedsmile 4 Inch Trifold Mattress is my clear winner for most RV and guest bed buyers. It has a softer bamboo-derived rayon cover that’s machine washable, includes a carrying bag for easy transport, and costs less overall — all while delivering the same medium-firm support as the ROXGOX. The ROXGOX is a solid runner-up if you specifically need the Queen size (73″x57″) or want that cool gel memory foam top layer for hot sleepers.
If you’re stuck between the two, ask yourself this: do you need the extra 5 inches of width and the cooling gel foam? If yes, get the ROXGOX. If not, the bedsmile gives you a better cover, a carrying bag, and a lower price — making it the smarter buy for the majority of people.
